Hello there. Welcome to my blog, where I spend my time talking about travel tips and advice I’ve learned through years of rough and tumble adventure. I’m Glyn Blower, born in the UK, raised all across the world. From a young age, I was used to traveling to and fro, making my way around the world by plane, boat, and car. My parents took me on a road trip across Europe when I was only 6, and seeing all the different landscapes and cities was very formative.
Since then I’ve struggled to stay in one place for very long. As soon as I had some cash I was off on adventures, taking cheap flights, lone hikes and camping out with friends. It hasn’t always been the easiest way to explore the world, but I have learned a lot about myself through the experiences. Not only that, but I’ve learned how to do it well (and what to avoid to keep things turning into a mess).
So, why the blog? I figured I would take what I know and share it. I’m a busy person – I won’t bore you with the details of my professional life, but needless to say I travel a lot in that too – so I can’t say I will post every week, but I’m aiming to do one a month at the very least. As for the name? Simple really. I’m an active person, and I want to prod myself into helping others be that too through travel. Okay, so it is a little weird. But it works, right?
Other things to know about me:
- I love games. Mostly exploration-based ones (go figure).
- I’m an awful cook but a big eater.
- I would always rather go do something than get something.
- I don’t really watch television, but I’m a fiend for Youtube videos.
- My favorite meal is ham, egg and chips. Basic, but good.
I think that about does it for now. See you around. Oh, and feel free to reach out if you’ve got any questions.
